Note: Please check the programme closer to the meeting as changes may occur.
Presentation Guidelines:
1. File Naming:
– Use descriptive names for files to make them easily identifiable.
– Include relevant details such as date, session number, start time of session (“11” for 11:30, “14” for 14:00 or “16” for 1600) last name, first name,
for instance: 19-08_SESSION 04_14_Smith_John.pptx
2. File Formats:
– Prefer .pdf, .ppt or .pptx for presentations.
– Avoid using proprietary formats or files that require specific software.
3. Presentation:
– Use font as Arial, Arial Narrow and Times New Roman type, and sizes that are large enough to be read for everyone (recommended font size 16 or more).
– For charts and maps, use colour schemes that allow readers with colour vision deficiencies to correctly interpret your findings.
– Please keep your presentation within the time frames defined by the congress.
– Please plan for a 7-minute presentation and 3 minutes for questions.
*For session 3: Please plan for a 9-minute presentation and 2 minutes for questions.
*For sessions 7, 21 and 42: Please plan for a 10-minute presentation and 3 minutes for questions.
Time slots in the programme will be strictly observed.
4. Uploading your presentation
To ensure a smooth experience, please upload your presentation between 18:00 and 20:00 on the day before your presentation, at the latest. You can do this using a USB stick in the foyer leading to the Ballroom. Alternatively, you may bring your presentation on a USB stick directly to the room on the day of your presentation, where our technical support team will assist with the upload.
Important: Do not upload your presentation to Oxford Abstract on the day of your presentation, as we will not be able to download it in time. If you have any questions, please contact us at osc@scar.org.
